Does Autofill affect your chances?

I just wanted to share that I am in the process of testing this. For the whole month of October I stopped using Autofill just to see if I would win more or less.

I tend to average two wins a month, but have only one won for October so far (still early days though as some comps are quite slow in contacting).

Obviously, there is still the element of luck involved, but at the moment I think there is little difference and you are not affected by using Autofill unless the comp specifies otherwise.

Unless the site says don't use one it should make no difference to a properly run competition.

Whether you happen to win more or less with/without autofill is pretty much irrelevant as, going back to when I used to enter more, I had double figure wins in some months and just a handful in others all without any changes to the way I was entering.

I have definitely noticed, over the years, my wins have shrunk right down (I keep a spreadsheet, sadly!!). I haven't really changed how many I enter, but did have to change my email address (although possibly coincidental).

I think just more people are now entering so less chances.

Yeah I totally agree, I was spending a bit too much time comping a while back and so starting entering only higher value comps. But since then i’ve not really won anything at all in years. As the push to social media has been strong over the last decade, the amount of people entering has skyrocketed
