Has anyone come across Westwood Investment Funds?
They appear to offer a too good to be true rate on a fixed rate account of 2.75% for 12 months.
The website claims that they are protected by the FSCS but I just wanted to see if anyone else have used them?

Never heard of them, never used them and never will use them.
My advice: absolutely 100% avoid at all costs."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

They are not related to the established fund manager Westwood Investment Funds Plc who own the URL westwoodfunds.com
What a pity that they accidentally seem to have ended up with such a similar name to the above group. I am sure as soon as they realise their mistake they will place a prominent disclaimer on their website.0 -
According their web site established 2002

Seems to be a few scammers around at the moment who have realised that people will immediately smell a rat if they offer ridiculous 8 -10% returns so are now trying to hook people with more moderate returns (but still too good to be true).0

The adverts seem to have disappeared from Google searches and this a the FCA's take on them:
Westwood Investment Funds (Clone of FCA recognised product)

Fraudsters are using the details of firms we authorise to try to convince people that they work for a genuine, authorised firm. Find out more about this ‘clone firm’.
[Sorry - can't post the link to the FCA's assessment because I'm a newbie, but their advice on avoiding such clones is worth reading in full.]0 -

OF course, the advertiser pays Google, not you. The moment you understand that Google doesn't care about the contents of the adverts it promotes, no matter how fraudulent, just how much they've been paid to display the ad, the sooner you'll stop searching for info like this through web searches, and the less vulnerable you'll be to scams.0
