If so, let HMRC know of the award:

Oh yes I am getting child tax credits-should I wait for the actual award letter or is the tribunal latter enough?Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Good - From memory I recall that if you notify HMRC within one month (?) of the tribunal decision the additional disability TC elements will also be backdated to the DWP decision date.
I'd send a copy of the tribunal decision notice with a covering letter (along with a phone call). Make sure you keep a copy of all correspondence, and a note of time / date / etc of phone calls.
Edit: I post a link to the Advice Now appeal guides (for both PIP and DLA), as I think they are very helpful for anyone undertaking an appeal. However, I am often unsure if posters follow that link and take any notice of that guidance.
You are one of the few OP's who have said they wrote a statement using info from the Advice Now guide, so it's gratifying that your hearing was so successful.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Brilliant news! I'm so pleased to hear you had such a good outcome.0

The site really was very helpful, especially the statement template. Made it so much easier to write a well organised statement, and to include everything I wanted to. I would never have written it without seeing that site so I'm really grateful to you for posting it.Alice_Holt wrote: »Good - From memory I recall that if you notify HMRC within one month (?) of the tribunal decision the additional disability TC elements will also be backdated to the DWP decision date. I'll get on to them tomorrow
