Best deal for villa holiday?

As we have relatives from America coming over to stay with us over the 2008 school summer holidays, we thought while they were here we would take them away with us for a weeks holiday somewhere hot, in case it rains all the time they are in England!

We thought we'd splash out for once and a villa holiday would be a good idea, as there will be 5 of us, and it would be lovely to get a private pool .

We thought we'd book it now, and assumed we'd get a good deal as we were booking early. But it's coming out a bit more expensive then we'd thought. Have looked on the firstchoice website, and also googled for some villa hire websites. (But how do you know you can trust them?)

Has anyone done this and could you recommend a company or website to get the villa from. I'm quite flexible about buying flights separatly, or getting a package. Also, when is the best time to book?

Thanks!

    Hi Annabee

I booked a villa (and car hire) in October and did it through The Villa Agency. I can't recommend them enough, it was absolutely first class service from start to finish. No waiting for replies, any emails were replied to within hours. I booked separate flights with Thomson and there were no hitches from start to finish.

It was fantastic and I'd do it again without any hesitation.

Plus the villa we stayed in accomodated 12, and only cost £600 for the week, but that was because it was their first year and this was on special offer.

I'd always go to a villa now when going away.

I've booked with this couple who are local to me and have been very pleasant to deal with. It's in Pernera, Cyprus and sleeps 6.

Do you have any preference for location? I'm only really familiar with the South of France, and there's a good villa hire website here: www.cheznous.co.uk

My parents have two lovely villas with private pools, close to Ryanair airports... obviously I'm not allowed to tell you about those, though!
