    Overturned tickets are a common problem because the scammers deliberately use a non-adhesive ticket that is deliberately not fit for purpose which in turn would cause frustration of contract.

    Yes, certainly include that in your defence and then you can supply scans (at witness statement stage) of the ticket/receipt and the e-mail proving that you sent it to claimant during the appeals process.

    Hopefully the new Private Parking Code of Practice will put a dent in all this (whilst welcome) last minute discontinuation crap.  

    @Monkeyhead333, will you be commenting on the draft from the BSI?  Please do so, much better coming from a real victim, rather than dedicated regulars who are far too savvy to be taken advantage of by a scamster.
