Paypal Unauthorised Payment not refunded

My email account has been compromised and several software licence keys have been purchased using my paypal account. Paypal are saying the purchases were authorised and I cannot get refunds. Some of the vendors have refunded me but most are saying they cannot as the keys have been delivered. I am still within the 14 days, where do I stand?

Raise it as fraud with paypal.

But how did they get you paypal password?

  • I raised it as fraud but they denied the claim.

I don't know how they got my Paypal password but they didn't change it
  • I need to know if I can demand a refund from the vendors as I am within 14 days. I don't know if the keys have been used or not but I assume they can be cancelled.
  • Right to cancel doesn’t cover digital downloads.

At the end of the day it’s not the vendors fault your email was compromised, so they shouldn’t be out of pocket.

    Nor should the OP.

Keys can usually be revoked anyway, software is a service nowadays.
