Hi All,
I've studied the board & tried to find the right way to do this.
I received a standard PCN from Horizon Parking (issued 24/10) claiming:
Entry to Sainsburys 09:52
Exit fm Sainsburys 19:10
There are two ANPR detectors at the site as there are two entrances & two exits.
I did enter & leave at these times, however, what it has not picked up is that I dropped off my daughter who works at Sainsburys at 09:52, then left returning to pick her up from work at 19:10.
It seems like the ANPR has not picked me up or there systems has made an error.
I only like 1 mile up the road & would not park here for 9 hours or so.
I have explained this to the Manager who is not very interested & suggested that I talk to Horizon.
I don't want to do this yet as I know I've done nothing wrong.
Looking for advice on the best way to approach this.
Steve.

The well-known Double Dipping error. Complain to Sainsbury's first, then search on the forum and read other posts by using the search facility called Search this Forum, Advanced, Double Dip Sainsbury as your keyword(s), change the radio button from threads to posts. Also, well done for reading the NEWBIE sticky. Did you see the blue text appeal? Just send it to Horizon in line with the advice given in the sticky with regard to when it should be sent and to send it without modification etc.0

Tough, the Manager needs to be interested, so now email a complaint to Sainsbugs Head Office and their CEO by name (Google it) about that Manager being unhelpful, and Horizon's little ANPR double visit scam which is a well known ANPR flaw of the system.I have explained this to the Manager who is not very interested & suggested that I talk to Horizon.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Your data has been unlawfully obtained by a company employed by Sainsbugs. You should be very angry about that and should be giving both the store manager and the CEO a hard time.
Complain also to the BPA, DVLA, local and national press as well as your MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Plenty pf double dipping cases here

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
It’s strange how some store managers are helpful and others aren’t. Unless it’s just a duty manager on a particular day that doesn’t care. Is it worth trying again on a different day or at a different time?
Complaining to the MP is probably pointless at this time. As of tomorrow I think they’re no longer your MP, parliament is dissolved until after the election.
I’d certainly complain to the DVLA and BPA though. Trading standards too (via Citizens Advice I think that is).PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0
