We returned our forms in August based of claim year long anxiety and depression and diagnosed fibromyalgia, since then the consultant thinks it’s rheumatoid arthritis and partner has had 2 sets of bloods 2 lots of x rays and now they want to send him for mri. But still we wait for a home visit. Today got told we know your waiting but we have to wait to get enough. All this is doing is adding to the situation. How long is too long.

What forms?
You may be better off asking on the benefits forum if it's benefits forms and home visit relating to them.0 -
It was the pip forms that were sent back. That’s why I asked here. Esa are the same have a long med cert but not decided if and when they will do a home visit.0

Ask on the benefits forum as this one doesn't get a lot of viewers.
But just put your two posts into one to save people asking0 -

OP a medical certificate is not needed for a PIP claim. For a home visit then it's possible that you may need a letter from your GP stating the reasons why you can't attend the assessment centre. Even then if you attend other appointments the home assessment could be refused.
There's no timescales for assessments or decisions, it depends on backlog in your area.0
