Used car buyers calling after weeks

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. Much needed moral support.
The throw away sim is a good idea. It's a shame it has to be like that but it would save the agro.
As I mentioned I've had a couple of experiences like this. The previous car was an old Range Rover. It was 17 years old, had 150k on it. I sold it cheap. I wasn't asking a lot of money for these vehicles as they were old and high milage. I described them the best I could as I prefer not to get time wasters. The guy who bought it phoned me up screaming down the phone as it dropped a couple of spots of oil on his driveway when he got home. In my defence I have a shingle driveway so I wouldn't have spotted it. Then again he was buying a Range Rover, they are well know for having chassis anti rust auto oiling systems.
Oh and the ebay protection thing. There is a system for raising an issue if the cars listed as an auction or 'buy it now' but I'm not aware of a similar system if it's a classified ebay ad. That said every car I've sold on ebay ppl always negate ebay and contact you directly.0 -

You can do this but I would first say first something like "I know the car was bought as seen and you do not have to answer this....".
Personally I would not contact the previous owner but just get it sorted out myself and move on.0 -

Sold an old car once for £250 then got a phone call the next day asking why one of the rear does didn't open. Bearing in mind this was already pointed out in the advert and to the buyer when he was looking at the car. Then a few days after that I got another call from him but this time I didn't bother answering it.
It was a £250 car sold as seen in a private sale. Once it left my driveway it was no longer my concern.0
