Any No-Standing Charge Gas Only suppliers left?

Are there any suppliers left who will supply Gas only on a no-standing charge tariff?

I have very low gas usage (c. 1 unit per quarter) and am currently supplied by Ebico. However, they have just informed me that next year's tariff will introduce a minimum charge of £104 for Gas (compared to £0 that I pay at the moment).

I am not averse to a small standing charge on Gas (but cannot find anything less than 10p/day at the moment - £36.50/yr). Also, a two-tier tariff would be fine.

Struggling, and uSwitch is no help (suggests Ebico, comments as above, and Utilita who deny that they offer Gas only).

  • Not found any myself, you might look on a Landlord or Holiday home forum as these seem to be clued up.

Green.Energy lowest I found which seems to be the 10p a day you have found, I will subscribe to this as I am always on the lookout for a zero standing tariff.

Utillita do not do gas only, as they rely upon smart meters. Gas smart meters send the readings to the electricity smart meter.
  • Hi, I am in the same situation. I don't seem to be able to find the 10p per day gas standing charge supplier - can you point me in the right direction, please?

Electricity unit rate: 12.75p per kWh. Electricity standing charge: 10.5p per day.
Gas unit rate: 3.09p per kWh. Gas standing charge: 10p per day

Depending on electricity usage, might be worth doing a comparison.

  • Thanks for the info.
This morning I have just noticed:
E.ON's Fix Online Exclusive v15 tariff (on the MSE cheap energy club search listing)
which has a gas standing charge of 7.35p/day.
  • Thanks for the info but I have been an Outfoxthemarket customer before and will not go back there!
I had a lot of grief from the abuse of the Direct Debit arrangement.
