Gas Smart meter not working, and supplier will not support (EDF)

EDF have logged my complaint.
Now they have 40 days before I can go to the ombudsmen.
EDF have said they will change the meter when they can to one of their smart meters. Maybe this will speed up the process a little though so its worth pushing them a bit.
From what I read in the National press yesterday it is now not possible to get a normal dumb meter fitted because they are no longer available/manufactured and only smart meters will be fitted with no other choices available0 -
The customer can go to the ombudsman 8 weeks after making a complaint, whether or not the supplier has sent a deadlock letter. The letter just speeds it up.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
