Problems Opening Metro Bank Fixed-Term Account

Am I being thick?


The second question on the application is "Do you have a Login for Metro Bank Online Banking?"


If I select "Yes" it tells me to log in to make the application quicker and simpler, which I do.


I then cannot see any way to continue the application, nor to start a new application once logged in. It just takes me into My Accounts.


Even if I stay logged in but start the application again in a new browser window, I just hit the same question, and can proceed no further.


I'm loath to just sign up as a new customer because I'll probably then end up with two different Metro Bank online banking accounts, which I don't want.


What am I missing?

    My Community Bank offers better / similar rates than Metro. You'd have to reconfirm that their savings accounts are indeed FSCS protected as not all credit union accounts are.

    I've just logged in and below the list of my accounts is a great big button saying "Open another account with Metro Bank"

    Thanks. I have no such button. I just have My Accounts, then "We love to hear from you, let us know your feedback"


    I guess I'll have to give them a ring.
