Need To Find A Good Tiler asap

Hello,

I realise this is a bad time of year to be trying to get hold of a tiler. And I realise these boards are not for people to advertise any services - if anyone can recommend a tradesman please send me a private message. If anyone can recommend a good way to track down a good tiler through another source that would be much appreciated.

The job is:

Near Aylesbury, Bucks
Small bathroom (plumber/builder removing old suite this week)
Old tiles to be removed, plaster made good
New mosaic tiles fitted to all walls except one, total area approx 8.5m square
Old carpet/underlay taken out, flooring surface made good
Plain white tiles fitted to cover flooring, total area approx 2.6m square

Can supply all materials if required

I have someone coming to quote who can start the job in 2 weeks, which is a decent start, looking for offers sooner than that. Need someone with decent experience as mosaic tiles can be a little fiddly and I would rather take the wait on the chin than get it done quickly and not the best finish.

I know it sounds like I want the moon on a stick, so please be gentle, any help very much appreciated

Whoever you get to do your tiling check how long they have been tiling for. There are a lot of people who have paid to do a 1 week intensive course in tiling who set up a tiling business and their work is of very poor quality.

If you contact your local tile suppliers they should be able to recommend someone in your area. They should have business cards from tilers in the trade reception area.

I am a tiler but am based in Leicestershire and I only travel far distances for large commercial jobs.
