SIPP Investments 2 Year Plan

It was a bad experience and not one that I wish to enter into again. Hence, my question posted here. I can't trust/afford an IFA so DIY is my only option.
Your initial choice of investment hasn't gone too well though. Can be a lonely place when managing ones own hard earned money. Following the herd is the natural instinct as a consequence. Be carefull though as some will be inevitably be crushed in the stampede for the exits. When markets do turn.0 -
OP - "advice" is a reserved word with a specific meaning in this field. I am not an IFA or an FA with no relevant qualifications and so I haven't given you any. Just a random stranger on the internet sharing their thought process when faced with the same "planning for drawdown" problem and the wall of "invest like this here" information out there.
As you have revealed in a subsequent post everyone's circumstances differ in terms of other income - DB, rental, inheritance, debt, dependents, property downsizing, tax jurisdiction, state pension etc. etc. What is "right" for one is "an unnecessary risk" for someone else or they have different objectives for the use of the pension fund in context of other assets.0 -
But if the person you consulted wasnt actually an IFA ..........? It wasnt SJP was it?
