I have just read Computer Shopper (feb 08) and they tested about 9 PVR's and recommended Top Up TV Anytime PVR at £100, the cheapest one !

i get round the EPG slow load time by setting the auto On/OFF function to turn itself on at 6am, and off at midnight. then i just never turn it off during the day. when we get up, the EPG is already loaded and ready.

since i did this, its never been an issue
  • 9200 is a stonking piece of kit and by far the most robust PVR I've used. Watch-out for the new 320gb version which is currently only available via Humax's website @ £229 with delivery. Humax also support regular updates to its older machines via the site. I'd certainly recommend - although the slow EPG is a bit tiresome. (About 7 minutes). However, more reliable than my SKY+ kit - now long-since turned off!
