Want to switch with NO smart meter

Been doing the usual comparisions to try to find the best tariff.

However, we haven't got, nor do we want, a Smart Meter.

Anyone know of a good deal that comes without the meter as it seems all the good tariffs say you have to have one.

You have to try the smaller companies. It's the big 6 companies who are pushing smart meters. I've recently moved to Avro with no mention of smart meters.

Yorkshire Energy don't require smart meters. They are also cost effective on E7 even with a low percentage of night usage.

I feel the smaller ones are using the reason of waiting for SMET 2, for not pushing SM installations. Have a feeling that excuse will be wearing thin soon, as like it or not, unless you have a SM, you are going to be pushed to the more expensive tariffs - no matter which supplier you choose.

  • I was with Green Network Energy until recently, they explicitly said they're not having any truck with smart meters.
