Zanussi dishwasher stuck on drain

Hello,
Just seeking a bit of advice before giving up and calling a repair person.
We've got a Zanussi ZDT12011FA dishwasher which has got stuck on drain.
I've done a bit of reading around and it would seem the anti flood switch has come on. If I switch the appliance on at the wall it sounds like it's constantly trying to drain water away and it starts to beep. If I pour a little water in it drains away but just continues making a draining sound after.
This has happened before, we left it for three days and it sorted itself out. However this time we've left it for a week and still no change.
I've read that I need to take out the dishwasher and tip it up however it's build in with our kitchen so I've no idea where to even start and I'm a bit concerned about how to switch off the water supply to it and what not.
Is there any way to drain it without having to pull it out?
Thank you 😊😊😊

Have a look on Youtube for your model, there are hundreds of guides that take you through it step by step.
When I did mine (although not built in) I didn't have to switch off the water, just tipped it up to empty, then took off the side and unblocked whatever was causing it to flood.
Even so it's well worth finding out how to shut off your water in case of emergency.0 -
The water supply pipe is probably in the next door cabinet. There’ll be a little plastic handle you need to turn 90 degrees to turn the water off.
If in doubt, a general handyman can uninstall the dishwasher and tip it up for you. Whether he can find the leak is another matter.
The leak may be nothing more than a small drip round the door seal. Especially in a hard water area, it’s worth giving that a good clean occasionally. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Thank you for the replies. I couldnt find a video on Youtube for a built in without removing the whole thing.
Anyway, I've fixed it and just wanted to post how in case anyone else gets stuck with the same issue and can't find the solution.
First, turn off the power supply to the dishwasher (for a built in this is a switch on the wall above the appliance) and turn off your mains water. Try to run a tap to double check it's off.
Remove any base boards, ours were just screwed on in two places to cover all the underside of the cupboards etc. Purely for finishing off the look and not holding anything in place.
Then removed the front metal panel on the dishwasher (six screws) and just be gentle because there are lots of wires.
There was a flat plastic tray right at the front. Pretty shallow, I was surprised that was all that's there to collect the water! It was nearly full of water. Just mopped up carefully with paper towels.
Reattached the metal panel just to be safe.
Switched back on at the wall and water and I was actually surprised that mopping up that little bit of water solved the problem!
No mess, no pulling out the dishwasher. Job done.
Thanks for the help guys!! 0 -
Excellent.
I’ve done this recently on our Bosch dishwasher, and it’s far more difficult. It definitely needed to come out.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
