Redundancy and SMP

I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have taken voluntary redundancy at work. They have paid me my SMP in one lump sum rather than monthly which I requested. I eas just wondering from others experiences did anyone still recieve help from universal credit? My SMP will have to last me 39 weeks but I'm worried the job centre…

All depends on the actual details.

Babymomma should be aware that they are unlikely to receive any UC payment for the first month. They could be waiting for over a month for a Decision maker to add their decision. The position about when any UC entitlement would kick in and how much it is likely to be, may be unknown for quite a long period.

Suggest more information is posted for discussion.
