No mention of a grace period to find a space and pay though, feels like going backwards.0

It's not a new suggestion.
We won't know what the new grace periods will be until the mandatory CoP is introduced.
Currently the IPC "allow" a grace period of ten minutes as long as the parking period allowed is more than one hour, and the BPA "allow" two grace periods nominally of ten minutes each, but not in certain spaces such as disabled bays.
A single grace period of ten minutes is a backward step for BPA members so they will be happy to lobby for it, but the IPC members will be slightly worse off so won't want it.
Who knows what the government department that is supposed to be dealing with this is going to come up with. I just hope those that know what they are talking about (people like us) will get their say.I married my cousin. Robert Jenrick MP Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government
It is this department that's been dragging their heels for years
Mr Jenrick, like all MP's nowadays talk the talk and end up doing nothing. These MP's really do think the public are stupid,0 -

Both the ATAs adopted it into their CoPs, so it already exists for PPCs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
