Mixer shower Brand / reliability

I'm planning to replace my shower mixer in my Ensuite shower unit. My current one is a Hydramx make, which served me well for just over 10y. I'm curenlty looking for replacement and would like to get any suggestions for a good reliable make and model. My budget is bet £250 and £350.
I found a Grohe model VITALIO JOY 260 but there is not much rviews out there it selling for £240 and it looks similar style and size to my current installation. I hear Grohe is a reliable German brand, but would like to hear the mse community view on this.

I was hoping for at least one response to my query, looks like I've come to the wrong place for feedback0

You posted in the early hours of a Sunday morning, what did you expect. Have some patience.0

OMG you mean people aren't up all night waiting for your question :eek:I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I’m really sorry, II’ll wait out;)0

I'd go to my local trusty plumbers merchant and buy whatever they recommend. Our guy knows exactly what stuff doesn't come back with problems.
We buy a bit of Tre Mercati as a base level, decent quality.
I'm not sure the mixer cartridges are made last all that long any more, so taking advice is good. The only brand that's failed on us in a short period was a Grohe. I think Handsgrohe are better.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Up and about all hours, but not necessarily poised with baited breath for questions. Just as likely clearing up cat puke or trying to work out why some software widget isn't working properly. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I think my cartridge in my mixer shower shower is also failed (according to Google) as temperature not very controllable - not hot enough although the bar is very hot. Ours is Grohe but just can't get the cassette out despite trying with many tools.
Currently looking at Amazon for a complete mixer unit as seems a lot cheaper than buying a cassette that I can't even access.1 -
Thanks, I was leaning towards Grohe, but after you post I've done a bit of search and you are right Hansgrohe is the one to go for. I'm going to order one from Vicotriaplumbin.co.uk as none of the retailers in my area stock them.0
