Great service from China with Amazon

I do my homework before buying items online through Amazon and know {and except} that ordering goods from China will take a few weeks to arrive so I factor that in {also with possible fakes} when buying.
Yet this time I was shocked when after ordering my goods on 27/10/2019 the expected date of delivery was stated as between 13-22/11/2019 {this was ok for me} yet at 1PM today my parcel was delivered by Royal Mail parcel force :j:T

Good for you.
I have been stung and try to avoid anything delivered direct from China, but some sellers are sneaky."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

It’s unlikely to have come from China in 5 days. I also try and avoid buying from China but if it’s very cheap and I am not in a hurry and not bothered about it being fake then I will0

While I know some are in the UK thhis one did the journey:)0 -
Another person who tries to avoid items from China, having been stung. Unfortunately, they don't always report where the company is accurately, or have agents in the UK, still chinese goods but held in Uk.
I ordered a fairly expensive item not knowing it was coming from China (did check, addresses were all European). Website made out item had been invented by A European engineer, trying to go it alone, seemed very professional, obviously must have been totally untrue. Order email gave Chinese customer support. Tried to cancel order immediately, realising whole thing was a false story. Was told it had already been dispatched in spite of tracking saying otherwise. Lots of waste of time emails from them, it was like torture. Took two weeks, refused delivery, got money back from paypal (thank god I used them) once I showed tried to cancel order and company lied. Felt good I had succeeded in the end, and the company had to pay the courier costs. Their choice to try and mess me around.
So now I am even more careful about ordering goods made in China.0 -
Makes mental note: to refuse delivery if and when I next order goods which are said to be from UK supplier but are despatched from China."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

China is a big country and it is not filled with rogue traders! I’ve ordered lots of items that have come from China and I’ve never had a problem.
It’s quite xenophobic to refuse to order an item because it’s come from China.0 -

Refusing to order goods from one particular country doesn't make you xenophobic in the least.
Xenophobia is the fear or hatred of people from other countries and I haven't read anything on here that states or implies anyone fears or hates the Chinese.0 -
Very few consumer goods are made in the UK.
I quite often buy goods which were manufactured in China. However I prefer to buy them from a reputable UK company where I have some protection if I have a complaint.

I assume you only posted that comment for effect.
I have no fear or hatred of China , can’t speak for the many who have been caught out by the hundreds/thousands of fake websites pretending to be UK companies with no returns info0
