Not so, according to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/transfer-an-isa-if-youre-an-isa-manager#cash-isa-transfers:

Cash ISA to cash ISA transfers must take place within 15 business days of the transfer instruction being received by the new ISA manager, unless the investor stipulates that the 15 days starts on a later date.

However, in this case that limit doesn't apply anyway as it's cash to LISA:

This timetable does not apply to cash ISA to stocks and shares, innovative finance or Lifetime ISA transfers or to stocks and shares, innovative finance or Lifetime ISA to cash ISA transfers. Managers should complete such transfers in accordance with their ISA terms and conditions.

Timescales depend whether the transfer is automated or manual.


I recently had problems with a transfer that did not arrive. When queried, each bank blamed the other I raised complaints with both banks and eventually they spoke to each other and resolved the problem. Took about 2 months in all.



Each bank upheld my complaints and gave me £100 plus back-dating interest.
