I know it's off topic, but strangely my Amazon deliveries are always very late in the day as well- up to 9pm. I assume I am at the end of a run . It's actually caught me out a few times (I order a lot) , I know something is coming but will risk going out to the shops or something thinking that I have plenty of time to be back for delivery- only to find on that one occasion they came at half past 3 :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Amazon chop and change as it suits.
Eg last year I know the Dunbar RM office lost 50% ofv its Amazon traffic.
Amazon decided overnight to start covering certain areas of that offices delivery area.
The OP likely lived in an area Amazon previously wasnt bothered about and shunted traffic to existing carriers.
Also keep in mind often the 'Amazon courier' is simply someone using their car and picking up shifts via the Amazon Flex app.0 -

I know someone who lives via the gig economy.
Drives taxis,Deliveroo,Amazon flex etc.
Amazon basically post 'shifts' on their app with parcels/amount paid.
people take the routes available. theres no real regular pattern.
They seem to put these shifts up later in the day so his mornnig are basically free for Amazon.
Whereas Deliveroo can be all day.

The OP seems to blame everyone but themselves........expecting Amazon to magically reschedule delivery/contact/driver at short notice.If you hadn't contacted them the delivery would have been tried again on Monday morning.......couldn't you wait till then.As already mentioned you have been lucky to get your hundreds;) of deliveries delivered Monday to Friday 9-50

Its not unusual though.
Back in the day (hovis music plays gently in the background) RM would prioritise businesses for time of delivery. (before DSA it was business mail that paid for the service in reality)
However the reality now is they are basically the same as anyone else.
With duties on overtime or later parcel shifts you will get businesses complaining about the terrible service they get nowadays.
Another regular is sending items 9am Special delivery. They expect a postie to be at the door at 9am when they open and get stroppy when the postie was there at 8am when they arent open.0
