Odeon, they call it silver cinema, qualifying age 55, costs £3pp & free tea/coffee & buscuits. Films not that old either, maybe a few weeks behind the regular screenings.
Ours are Tue & Thur at 11:00 or 14:00. We've been loads of times.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
Never thought of asking at hairdresser, but then suspect I'd have to go on a particular day, which isn't possible for me.luvchocolate wrote: »Most concessions at theatre ..cafes....hairdressers etc are at 60
Our local cinema (not Odeon) has a Silver Screening with no age limit: on a Tuesday morning, so not much use if you're still working.SevenOfNine wrote: »Odeon, they call it silver cinema, qualifying age 55, costs £3pp & free tea/coffee & buscuits. BUT I have found most cinemas and theatres offer a concession at 60 at any show.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Having turned 60 this year I now get free prescriptions for 3 reasons, my medical condition, my age and the benefits I receive....how clever is that lol
Hopefully a change of government will see free scripts for all next year.0 -

Like in Wales and Scotland, the government will need to decide whose budgets to reduce to fund it.
Or as Wales has done, leave a health board in special measures with a £40m funding gap and a shortage of nurses0 -
Only 40% of English people are in a category that means they would have to pay, and approximately 90% of prescriptions are actually free. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
