Thanks. Only issue is with above technique is the CC is only 0% for 60 days. so in an emergecy we would be using a CC and paying 20% apr from the off.

Eh, why would you be paying 20% APR?

So get one, perhaps with a shorter duration, with a full term 0% intro period.

I'm guessing the 0% is only on purchases made in the first 60 days?
  • Got it :)

"Then use new CC for emergencies"

The CC is only 0% for purchases made in the first 60 days. so unless im planning to have an emergency in 60 days, it will cost money down the line if I need a new boiler etc.

The limit will be linked to your financial position.

Forget about your credit score it means nothing to them.

They use other means which tracks your loans, mortgage etc to see what you have available. If you're already in debt then the limit will be lowered to reflect the level of this debt.

Me, in case you didn't know the eligibility checker uses this to confirm eligibility. The score however is useless if you are already up to your eyeballs in debt. Once you apply for the card they do a full check to see what's available for them to comfortably lend to you.

Many people with very good scores get turned down and cant understand why when they have great scores.

    You’re contradicting yourself.

Eligibility checkers don’t use credit scores
