Anti fracking energy companies

Hi
Does anyone know of any companies other than Bulb? My friend is paying 20% more than the cheapest tariffs but will only switch to an anti fracking company. I've checked UP, Eco7, Green network and Green but they all have the 2% other in their energy mix.
TIA

Who really knows where the energy comes from unless you actually generate it yourself

Whether its gas or leccy, it comes down the same pipes or cables so there's no way they can sort out the bit that's sent to your individual house and say it's green or whatever.

If you really think that they can then you deserve to get fleeced by paying extra for a myth. Just my opinion you understand

Whether it's coins or notes, if you put your piggy bank money into a savings account there's no way they can sort out the bit that they'll give you back over the counter when you try to withdraw it.

If you really think that they can give you your own money back, then you deserve to get fleeced by losing your savings. :D

Some suppliers say 100% renewables (electric) so is it possible to omit companies that own the coal fired power stations? Bulb say they don't support fracking, I'm guessing through a similar system, surely they can't make that claim if it's impossible.

Energy is generated by multiple companies, put into the distribution networks and suppliers then buy it on the wholesale market and resell it to customers.

Some of the generating companies will be supplying "green" or renewable energy into the pot and I guess that possibly a supplier may contract to only pay a green company but it doesn't actually follow that what comes out of your wall is 100% green or renewable.

That must be especially true at night or when the wind doesn't blow, power has to be fed onto the grid to supply demand from whoever is generating it at the time whether it be gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, hydro or even fracking.

The same with gas, some comes from the North sea, some comes in tankers from abroad. Theres that which is piped across Europe from Russia and there's even bio gas, but once it's in the distribution network there's no way of telling where it actually comes from (unless you can analyse it's content).

  • Bono's going to ban fracking anyway.
