Mixer Shower Booster Shower Pump - TRITON T40i

I have a gravity fed shower over a bath with a thermostaric shower bar valve which I would like to make more powerful. For various reasons I cannot fit a 'power' or electric shower without extensive disruption so I am considering fitting a Triton T40i Booster pump, between the valve and the shower head. Can anyone pass on any comments they may have about how powerful these pumps are? I would say that the water pressure is on the low side of normal, and the hand shower on the bath mixer works adequately. Are they about as powerful as a good power shower, for example? Please note - it is gravity fed, the hot water coming from a storage tank and heated by a conventional boiler and the cold is from a storage tank in the loft. Thanks.

I had one of these pumps-probably an earlier model -for many years and it boosted a shower that was no more than a trickle into an acceptable shower. However it was no way as powerful as a power shower. It was very easy to fit and I was very satisfied with it over a period of about 10 years or more.0

Another idea you could consider that was suggested to me is a gravity-fed shower with integral pump like this one:

(shop around and you can get it for around £400).
It will run off just a 3-amp fused spur so no need for upgrading things like consumer
units etc!

Been having a read-up on this pump. I find a lot of the sites are somewhat misleading, they nearly all say: "It is quick and easy to install because no plumbing connections are required."
Whilst it is somewhat true to say "no (permanent) plumbing connections are required", it totally ignores the need for electrical power. Having just re-furbished a bathroom, with shower pump, the electrical regs now make the plumbing requirements pretty small beer !
One thing to watch out for with any pump assisted shower is how quickly it will empty your hot water tank.[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
