Start spreading the news… You and a friend could be leaving for New York courtesy of GET and STA Travel, the world leaders in student and graduate travel.
In an act of massive generosity – we’re so pleased with the relaunch of our site – we’re giving away a trip for two to NYC, the home of cool. The prize covers flights and accommodation for a three-night stay.
To enter, all you have to do is be a current university student or recent graduate, register with GET by Friday 14 December 2007, be available to travel between 1 January and 21 March 2008, and get ready for your visit to one of the world’s favourite cities.
Entry conditions

• The competition is only open to residents of the UK. The competition is not open to employees (or members of their families) of Hobsons PLC or STA Travel.
• The competition is only open to persons who are either existing members or new members that join and validate their My GET account through the competition registration / sign-in page at www.get.hobsons.co.uk/competition/login-Register.jsp.
• Only persons who are still members of My GET at the time of the prize draw will be valid entrants.
• The promoter of the competition is Hobsons PLC, Challenger House, 42 Adler St, London, E1 1EE.
• Only one entry person.
• Closing date for entries will be at 1pm on Friday 14th December 2007.
• The competition winner (the Winner) will be selected at random from all eligible entrants on Friday 14th December. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The Winner will be notified by email on or after the 14th December. At this point the winner will be given instructions on how to claim their prize. If the prize is unclaimed by 21st December, after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the Winner, the Promoter will be entitled to choose another Winner, without any liability to the Promoter.
• No purchase is necessary. Entry to the competition is free of charge.
• To be entered in the competition, entrants must enter through the registration or sign-in area found at www.get.hobsons.co.uk/competition/login-Register.jsp. A valid email address must be provided.
• Entrants must be 18 years of age or over.
• Entries not submitted in accordance with the rules or incomplete will be disqualified. The Promoter is not liable for entries lost, damaged or delayed in transmission. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for participants being unable to connect to the Promoter’s website or to participate in this competition, or if the entry is late or lost, due to any problem, technical or otherwise connected with their e-mail or web connection. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt.
• In entering the competition, entrants agree that their names can be published in related content on the GET website (www.get.hobsons.co.uk).

Prize

• The Prize is a pair of return flights to New York City plus three nights 3* accommodation (based on two people sharing).
• Travel is permitted from 1 January to 21 March 2008 only, subject to availability.
• There is no cash or other alternative to the Prize.
• The Prize is not transferable, and can only be accepted by the Winner.
• The winner will be entitled to select one guest. Having informed the Promoter of the Guest according to the claim instructions, the Winner will not be permitted to transfer the related part of the Prize to any other guest.
• The Prize does not include transfers to and from airports, travel insurance, or anything other than, or arising from, the Prize, for either the Winner or the Winner’s guest.
• The Promoter reserves the right to make alterations to the dates of travel or modify the Prize.
• Please note that normal operator conditions apply and flights are subject to availability.
• The Promoter will not be responsible for any delays or cancellations and shall have no liability for the acts or defaults of the hotel or any transportation companies concerned.
• Neither the Promoter, nor STA Travel will be liable for any circumstances beyond its reasonable control that prevent the Prize being taken up by the winner.

Oh yes, a uni student can always find time to take a holiday! Not! My sister is a student midwife and would never find the time for something like this with such specified dates. Oh well, won't bother entering her then.
