I thought I was really smart after seeing a posting on Thursday on the boards regarding SKY+ for £49. I managed first time to get them to agree to it without having to resort to "if you don't give me the refurbished SKY+ for £49 I will disconnect". Thought it too good to be true that they would fit next day.
Yes you guessed it they didn't come. Excuse being van had broken down couldn't get anyone to cover my call out. Arrange for it for today they are supposed to phone between 8 and 9 to confirm the time.
Yep you got it in one they don't bother phoning and they don't bother turning up.
So I get on the phone and create merry hell. Chap from sky states he didn't think they could possibly have a refurbished box to be fitted for next day that I shouldn't have been given the next day but has no explanation as to why they haven't turned up or phoned today. Not sky that is fitting it the job is contracted out! Pass the buck why don't you!! So I tell him politely to stuff the whole lot. Never had Sky turn up when they are supposed to. He offers upgrade to top package for half price for 3 months and call out for Monday. They will not tell me when on Monday when they will arrive (if at all) won't say morning or afternoon.Hubby is furious adamant that they can get lost and that we will cancel and go to freeview. ( meant to be for his birthday so he can record the golf!!) Not a good result . 2 days wasted sitting in and another day wasted on Monday.
Sky don't give tuppence couldn't care less that we have been let down because they can sell refurbished unit to someone else.
Really mean it this time if they let us down on Monday and are not there for 1pm as we have a hospital appointment we really will cancel and go elsewhere!

If you really want your complaint dealt with e mail the top man at sky.Trust me this WILL work .also before anyone gets on any moral highground (as if )this is legal and gets around the odd miserable nomark in the call centre,address your e mail to :

You won't believe this but.... he didn't turn up. Engineer phoned in the morning to say he would be there between 11 and 2 as he was in the west coast. Husband told him that as discussed on Saturday if he wasn't going to be here in the morning then he would cancel and not to bother coming. Surprise surprise he doesn't turn up before the 1 o clock deadline so I phoned to cancel my subscription. He knew he wasn't going to make it in the timeframe. We should have been a priorit given the fact that he had failed to deliver on 2 previous occasions. Chap in the call centre give him his due was helpful but he couldn't do anything so subscription was duely cancelled.Or so I thought!
Came home to discover it is still on so on the 0800 number again and apparently you have to give them 30 days notice!!! Blinking cheek if you ask me ! To make matters worse job hasn't been cancelled so the contractors would be paid.
Will certainly be emailing Mr Murdoch !!I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0 -
Thank you for the email address. I emailed and within 24 hours had a man from customer liason on the phone. He organised it so that a Sky engineer not a Cobra engineer phoned me night before to tell me when he would be arriving. I was his only job. Got great service what I should have had the 1st time not the 4th. Anyway everyone agreed the service was naff and that I should have been treated better. Sky put their hands up and said sorry for 3 no shows and are to give me M and S vouchers as a gesture of goodwill. Doubt I would have got anywhere without emailing.
