Unable to contact landlord for deposit

We recently moved out of a flat, our letting agents did the inspection at the end of tenancy. There were no deductions (we left it in great condition).
However, our landlord fell out with our letting agents and is now ignoring their calls/emails etc, and so has not signed off our deposit to be refunded (under the protected deposit scheme we are in).
We could dispute this through the protection scheme, but it is unlikely our landlord will respond to this either.
Does anyone have any advice/know who is liable to chase this up with the landlord? Is it our responsibility or the letting agents? What happens if our landlord refuses to sign it off?

    Just dispute it and the scheme will eventually give you the money.


    (also you do not, and never di have, a letting agent.)

    Follow the procedure of the deposit scheme to reclaim. The'll contact the landlord.If he does not respond, they'll release the £ to you.
