That is easy to tell if a car has it fitted. There is a solid square under the grill. Behind that is the sensor.

Mine has activated once in 14,000 miles.

OK, so it relates specifically to online car purchases only, and pretty much in line with the CCRs. As the OP purchased this car from their nearest branch it doesn't apply anyway.

Currently going through evans halshaw Car Stores parent company complaints procedure. They got interested when i left a scathing review. Will see what happens.

Surely, as already suggested, the OP needs to return the car and tell them that he's rejecting it as it's not as described? Also put it in writing that it's being rejected (plus reasons) and I'd also say that staff have been misleading him in saying (1) they aren't responsible for the web description and (2) they can't accept it back. I'd indicate this would not be in their favour if the OP has to sue them to exercise his statutory rights.
