Credit Report 'U' Status - TalkTalk

Hi all,
I recently moved house and job. As such I changed my billing date in August. This meant payment was changed from 28th Aug to 8th Sept. This was paid around the 6th Sept.
TalkTalk have updated Equifax and for August it is showing as a 'U'. Is this a negative on my report? I am in the process of saving for a mortgage and concerned this will negatively impact?
What does this U mean? I have always paid on time.
Thanks

A U status is neutral, it just means the company didn't provide an update to your file.
It usually happens if an account is new, but can happen if something changes that just results in them not providing an update. A change of billing date could certainly do that.
No need to worry, it will not affect any credit applications.0 -
may be worth contacting Equifax or searching their FAQ's could stand for unpaid but could stand for something else too.0

As already stated above - it means unspecified/unknown.
OP - you can ask TalkTalk to update it with a payment marker, but they may or may not do it, either way it will have no negative effect on you.0 -

Thanks everyone. I have worked hard over the last year getting the report tidied up and corrected, as I am going for a mortgage next year. Was concerned it would impact the chances.0
