PPI missed deadline.

Can we still claim PPI? We used a PPI claim company in 2018 to check if we had ever paid PPI on various accounts. At that time we were living in Spain and all our belongings were in storage, so we had no access to account numbers etc. One of the companies was Dorothy Perkins and they claimed that they could not find any record of my wife having an account with them. We have now returned to the Uk and have found the account number that proves that there was an account in my wife's name. Can we still claim PPI, even though the deadline has passed?

No. You had to submit your complaint or enquiry prior to the deadline. We have now returned to the Uk and have found the account number that proves that there was an account in my wife's name. Can we still claim PPI, even though the deadline has passed?
This would not be a new complaint. It would be a continuation of an existing enquiry. That is if you sent it to the right place. i.e. not Dorothy Perkins. I think Santander was the lender with the liability (someone else may verify)
However, does your new information show that PPI was being paid? If the firm no longer have records and your records dont show any PPI, then any new evidence you have isn't going to help. The best you can hope for is that the supply of the account number allows them to find records on different systems (stored under account number) and that may lead to more information.0
