PS the local supply companies will be commissioning their local distribution voltages to a little over 250 volts - 230 volt + 1-% (as per the 1988 regs)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
For the record, it's 230 volts -6%, +10%, giving an allowed voltage range of 216.2 volts to 253.0 volts. Basically a fudge so that the UK stayed with 240V despite the EU trying to standardise on 230V.PS the local supply companies will be commissioning their local distribution voltages to a little over 250 volts - 230 volt + 1-% (as per the 1988 regs)0 -
Now we've had a couple of cold nights the frost stat on the boiler is working well it trips in and heats up for less than 5 mins then shuts off and stays off for well over an hour, so during the course of the night it only comes on for an hour or so where as before it was running nearly all night. Incidental i'm going to replace the lean too where the boiler is and turn it in to a rear porch/ boot room, which will be better insulated for the boiler going forward. I'm also about to switch supplies and go with 2 different suppliers for gas and electric as they reckon it will save me nearly £250 a year, watch this space!!0
