Tesco Credit Card Query

Options
Just received my yearly report on Tesco Bank Credit Card. I pay automatically via direct debit so never incur any fees or charges. I have used the card for big ticket items.
The summary for the year says
Total youv'e spent:£7,007.38
Interest:£0.00
Charges:£0.00
How much you've paid back:£7,290.55

Could anyone explain what the paid back amount is please?

Thank you.

    Exactly what is says.

If you are wondering why it is more than the amount spent then that is likely down to a timing issue i.e. you pay for stuff in the month after you spent the money.
  • It means exactly that.
It could be accounting for refunds as well?

I think the amount being paid back is higher than the amount spent as the paid back amount will include the payment from the last statement of the previous 12 month period but lack the payment from the last statement included in the spent figure for this year.
