Handing Rented House Bank

Morning,
Just a quick question I'm moving out of my rented house tomorrow, after the landlord has issued a section 21. We Have arranged via email to meet at the house to hand over the keys. My question is when I hand over the keys do I need to get them to sign something ?
Apologise if this is a daft question, just never done this before. Thank you

Do you have an inventory? That normally forms the main part of the check out process.

Nope, make sure you take lots of pictures ideally with time/date stamps in case there is a deposit dispute. Also meter readings.

No need to have them sign for the keys. Things that you should consider are:

Get meter readings and inform your current suppliers that you are moving out and provide them with your new address for the final bill.

Get a checkout inventory or at least pictures showing the state of the property, in case there are any deposit disputes.

Not a bas idea to get the LL/agent to read the meter with you. Have a duplicated pre-printed paper (address, elect, gas, water) write in the readings and both sign. Keep one each.

Clean the property to the standard it was at when you moved in (as described in the inventory is there was one).
