First stop Tokyo

We went in 2003, amazing place. One place we enjoyed was a sword museum. It was down some back streets, in a more industrial area, full of wonderful swords from all eras. Lovely old security guard who was trying to tell us things about the swords through mime lol!
Other than that we did the tower, electric district, the snoopy shop, a few of the formal gardens and people watched.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
Thought I'd add that one of my sources for information has been Japan Guide, which I've found useful:

Hi Everyone
Thank you for your replies. We will be in Tokyo for about 6 days and we do plan to visit Hiroshima whilst there. We will be there at the beginning of April as we really want to see the cherry blossom and as much as we can squeeze in.
Are you only in Japan for 6 days?
I would be inclined to stick to Tokyo if so!
Hiroshima is a long way from Tokyo. If you really must see it then maybe fly. The fastest trains take almost 4 hours.
Hotels in Tokyo - I recommend The Knot in Shinjuku. Decent amount of space for the price you pay. Global chains would cost twice the price. Don't know what the price is like in Sakura season though.0
