You are not supposed to take on more credit if in a DMP as all your spare money should be going to your creditors.
If you are in a DMP you may not even get accepted for finance.
If you have spare money why not save it up and by the ring?
If she loves you, she will be happy with any engagement ring. I assume she knows you are paying debts off?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Words fail me. You're on a DMP and you're seriously considering taking on further debt for something as frivolous as this???MovingForwards wrote: »If she loves you, she will be happy with any engagement ring. I assume she knows you are paying debts off?
Quite, buy a cheap engagement ring now, wait until you're debt free before getting married THEN splash out on a beautfiul expensive ring when you're in a position to afford it.0 -
Just to confirm. There are no DMP terms for you to breach. A DMP a just an informal payment scheme.Johnboy881 wrote: »Would it breach the terms of a dmp getting a engagement ring on finance if worked out affordable?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
