Car Insurance Policy for less than 1 year?

I am currently looking to renew my car insurance policy, however I will be moving to the States next year so only need a further 3-4 months cover for my vehicle.
When looking at paying monthly for my policy it seems that I will be hit with a £50-60 cancellation fee when I inform the provider that I no longer need the policy.
Does anybody have any advice for a work around for this situation, possibly a provider with a monthly rolling policy?
Thanks for any help.

I'm fairly sure that any monthly policy for 3-4 months will end up more expensive than 1 year policy + early cancellation fee.
If you are selling the car look fro a normal yearly insurance without cancellation fees when you are disposing of the vehicle0
