comercial usage of fuel is a completly different kettle of fish.

Contracts are taylored to an individual client, they also have lock ins etc........

They fall outsid ethe general protection offered by Ofgem, as they (ofgem) deemed that a buisiness is able to protect themselves, where as a single consumer needs protecting.

Speak to OFGAS and see if they can produce a list of business suppliers

  • A number of comparison services other business comparisons:

    energyhelpline.com
    energylinx.co.uk
    ukpower.co.uk

What we do at energyhelpline (and I assume the others do too) is that we have a panel of cheaper suppliers who we can switch ou to and then we do a manual calculation for you as to how much you could save. To do this an advisor will ask you to fax over a bill so that they can get from you all the details that they need.

If you like the saving, then the switch would be organised for you. :)

There are no internet business energy price comparison services as:
    1. supplier's rates are not allowed to be published. This is because they like to negotiate on them and hence charge different customers different amounts.
    2. calculating which tariff you are on is much more complex than domestic / household energy as this hugely varies by usage and meter profile

    Hope this helps :)
