Power circuit broken

Hi, I installed a new immersion heater switch (45a DP) unfortunately some of my sockets around the house have stopped working, I have removed the face plates and checked the wire but everything is still connected, I have also checked the fuses in the CU. the new switch works, however I have learned that immersion switches only require a 20a switch, would the 45A somehow be stopping the circuit/ring to the switches that aren't working?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Sounds like you aren't qualified to be doing such electrical work, probably best you get a qualified professional to check it out.0

No problems with using a 45a switch instead of 20a. Was the new switch a simple like for like ?
Is the immersion on a dedicated circuit with its own fuse in the CU? You say "fuse" which implies a very old CUNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
