Can I get a replacement part for my old boiler?

I've got a really old boiler (Myson Midas
and the central heating has stopped working. I've had an engineer out to look at it and have been told that the heating pump is broken but that he's had a look online and can't get the parts for it because it's so old.
Is there any chance of getting parts for a very old boiler like this or do I have to resign myself to forking out for a new boiler?

Having had a look at manuals & stuff, the pumps look like standard "off the shelf" items. If this listing is anything to go by - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Potterton-Suprima-30-100-System-CP53/dp/B006W6LXPM - You should be able to get a suitable pump from just about anywhere. One example - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Central-Heating-Circulating-Circulator-Pump-Replaces-Grundfos-Wilo-Myson-Dab/181981000448
Just watch the port length and max head - These vary from pump to pump. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

- some two pumps, both OOS, but is worth asking the company

Perhaps you need a second opinion from another gas-safe tech.
This .pdf identifies Alpha2/2L 15-50 130 as a replacement.

and a new pump available here: -

I wouldn't take too much notice of that gas spares co as the pump listed as a alpha 2L isn't it's just a normal ups 15/60I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Tbh he's not much of a heating engineer if he can't match up a replacement grundfos pump as they are very easy to come by.0

The boiler in question has 2 internal pumps, one for central heating and one for hot water and it sounds like it is one of these that has failed so it's very unlikely that Grundfos make a pump that will simply fit into place inside the boiler casing.0
