I have been with talktalk landline for over 10 years I have a small rented shop which I am leaving, I am up to date with my payments, I have been trying to cancel for 2 days now and gotten no where.
They say they need a password, which I don’t have before I can proceed, I have no email address with them which they say I would need to get a password.
Soon I will be leaving the shop with my active telephone line which is connected to my bank account in a shop with new tenants in who can run up my phone bill I’m panicking a bit (maybe a lot).
Does any one know what I can do, will the citizens advice bureau be able to help,
If I send a copy of the letter I’ve got saying someone new had signed a lease on the shop, and another saying the date I’m leaving with a copy of a water bill, and a bank statement, together with a letter to say I’m shutting down the account. Would this do and does anyone know the address I would send it.
Sorry to ramble I have hardly slept
I have sorted out the electricity and water supplies. My shop insurance, van insurance, council tax, and every think else with no problems. Please Can anyone help

If its a business line CAB probably won't be of much use (clue's in the name, Citizen's Advice, otherwise it would be a BAB, not a CAB
)
You don't necessarily have to have email with a provider to use them, a lot of companies use their own domain email (fred@home.com or whatever) so it's not unusual not to have email with them.
That being said when the account was set up in the first place you probably would have had to provide some password, otherwise any Joe Bloggs could have phoned up claiming to be you and you'd be none the wiser. Normally this sort of situation occurs when things are set up by somebody and then they leave for whatever reason, former business partner or whoever was delegated responsibility for it in the first place.
You might want to read section 10 of your T&Cs, presumably you are business broadband:

Hi I’m/was a small flower shop I was originally with opal talktalk business, but because I didn’t use the phone much with outgoing calls they moved me to normal talktalk. I spoke to the talktalk small business team and they transferred me to normal talktalk phone line0
