Thanks I have a large designer radiator in the bedroom, the valve on the right is red hot the radiator is barely even on, we’ve had it checked in the past and changed the valve but it’s made no difference, tried bleeding it makes no odds
Is it chrome? They are really poor at radiating heat.
I think you would possibly be better off just maintaining 18c 24/7 as long as you are double glazed.0 -
This reminds me a story a boiler maintenance technician told me. He said he had a call out from a customer who had recently moved house. When he looked at the boiler, he could not find a fault. The customer explained that the boiler must be faulty as it was using twice as much fuel as the boiler in the last house. The technician could see that the house was quite a big house of about 2500 sq ft. He asked the customer what size was their old house. The customer said "Oh it was about 1200 sq ft".0
