Best White Wood Paint?

I have a wooden door inside a porch which is south facing, i know the porch gets very hot in the late afternoons in the summer, i want to paint it white with some kind of wipable gloss.

I am mainly concerned about the paint cracking in the summer from the heat, although i know white is supposed to deflect heat i think but do i need one of those UV filter type paints even though it is internal.

I have seen Weathershield and Dulux one coat etc but not really sure what i need?:mad:

Any weather paint for garden sheds etc, no outdoor paint is forever it will need redoing every couple of years. Forget about all the UV gimmicks.

You dont tend to find stuff for garden sheds in a gloss.

Dulux one coat is an interior product. Dulux weathershield is an exterior product.

Essentially most paints go on most things, you ever tried removing paint from something that isnt perfectly flat/plastic, its a pita. The questions is how long will it last, and how long will it look good for.

Exterior gloss is more expensive than interior but ismore durable so lasts longer. So from that you need to ask would you rather paint more often and pay less more often, or pay more and paint less often.

Personally id go with the exterior gloss. Its going to get sun damaged and the longer i can avoid painting the better. Between brands its generally much over muchness. Particular with exterior glosses as most places tend to do only branded versions.


TL: DR weathershield is what youre after.
