Single mum cancelling Housing benefit , help please!

Hello everyone , im single mum with 10yrs old daughter , renting privately from landlord.
I’m currently working part time , receiving child tax credit , working tax credit and housing benefit and reduced council tax for single person.
I’m claiming benefits for last 9years, wasn’t lucky enough to find the right one until now
btw we don’t live together yet , just planning
Planning to go hopefully full time so housing benefit might not be needed after all .
I’m thinking to give them a call and tell them that I would like to cancel my housing benefit as in 4weeks time I will be moving out and looking for new place with my new boyfriend.
I also need to give my landlord 4weeks notice , will they still pay me for those last 4weeks ? Will I have some overpayments ? What shall I do with tax credits? cancel as well in same time?
What’s the best way of cancelling housing benefit please?write to them , call or speak to them face to face ?
Thank you for all your advices, opinions

I am not clear why you would cancel your Housing Benefit claim before the need to receive it ends.
You can continue to receive HB for as long as you are still liable for the rent so giving your landlord notice does not affect your HB.
When your circumstances do change or when you have a definitive date for moving and/or becoming part of a couple ring them up to tell them. Depending on your finances with your new partner you may be eligible to continue to receive a HB if you are staying within the same local authority.
As regards Tax Credits you must tell HMRC as soon as you become part of a couple. This will end your Tax Credits claim and you will not be able to claim again as new claims are no longer allowed.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
