Here's a few close ups of some of Dana Adochitis handywork . Just realised ' Dana' is referred to as ' Daniela' on their reviews. Can't seem to add the photos. 😩 . Is this just a strange coincidence , one of NTCs ' trainers', also says of their previous experience " Beauty therapy/nail technology tutor Next Step Beauty - Nail and Beauty Training" , but the link has been taken down.

Me and my friend have completed a course with NTC and we absolutely loved it. I had booked my course 5 months in advance and was a little worried about getting into nails. I called ABT to check their accreditation and ABT confirmed that they are fully accredited and a reputable company. When I got in for the course in London the trainer Amy was so lovely and I really enjoyed it. At first I did not think eeverything coud be taught in 3 days but I was so wrong. The course was intense but I am so happy with everything I learnt. I've started doing nails on my friends and family and they are loving my work. I don't know why someone has wrote the false review above. I HIGHLY recommend NTC Nail Technician Courses they are amazing!

I have been {Removed by Forum team} by one company called Next Step Beauty and want to raise awareness of another company so that no one else gets {Removed by Forum team} by these people.

A company called Nail Technician Courses or NTC are not accredited as they claim (I spoke directly with ABT who they advise they are accredited by) and they are trying to {Removed by Forum team} people out of money with questionable reviews and a course that is not professionally accredited.

    Well.
Here we have 2 very different statements about the accreditation of this company.
Of course, it could be that they weren't accredited in October 2019 when the OP checked and have become accredited since then.
    Who to believe...?
Of course, one could always follow the 3rd link in the post by hollydays to see the status of the companies...
And using stock photos on their website?
Why would a reputable company need to do that?
More to the point, why would another customer think the review is fake rather than just a bad experience. Which just makes it worse because no genuine company would have to resort to posting as a fake customer to try and deal with complaints.

Even if they're genuine, having had their whole 3 days of training, they are now expert enough to be able to say that they learned everything they needed to learn in those 3 days.

I wouldn't let them within 20ft of my nails.
My 'who to believe...?' comment was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
I knew that. That's why I started with more to the point ;) To carry on along the same lines.

  • Actually I called up VQ in Euston Square hotel in London before I attended to ask whether NTC held training there and they confirmed they did! Why don't you actually google one of the venues and ask for yourself, instead of talking endlessly about it! It's not about who to believe, the company has real photos of students being taught at their classes on their Instagram page.
They've even watermarked all their work. And what I found out whilst on their course is they have had a sister company which operates beauty salons in shopping centres, like Meadowhall in Sheffield which I have been to once. I definitely know after meeting Amy the trainer that they are a very good training company.

Also and lastly, I have called up recently and booked on their next Euston London course in April and its completely free as it's my second time. So even their free refresher is real. They've def been in the industry a long time and know what they are doing!
  • Hi, a company has asked for a right of reply. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum:

“Thank you for your comment. Whilst we note your concerns we would like to assure you that we are a professional and qualified business. Nail Tech Courses Limited (company registration number 12188834) trading as NTC/Nail Technician Courses is fully accredited by ABT since 2019. I guess it hinges on when in 2019 NTC became fully accredited by ABT and when the OP checked that and alleged they weren't accredited.
The OP posted on 27/10/2019 so it's possible that NTC became accredited after the OP posted.

Looking at the Companies house information for NTC and going by the previous directorship history of their current director, irrespective of them being accredited, I certainly wouldn't be giving them any money.

5 previous directorships for beauty services companies registered at the same address as NTC and status of those 5 companies are:

    Liquidation
    Dissolved

    Active proposal to strike off

I specifically chose not to comment on the company under discussion.
Simply pointing out that the OP may have been right at the time of posting (i.e. that NTC wasn't accredited at the time she checked) and the company may be right about being accredited in 2019 (i.e. if that accreditation occurred after the OP checked).

I realise that, I was simply pointing out that it doesn't really matter what accreditations there are if the company concerned goes into liquidation, something that judging from the previous companies, is entirely possible.

    Hmmmm.
The issue is that unfortunately not a lot of people will do due diligence on companies (and relevant historical companies that may be connected to them) before signing up to give them money.
If more people did do that, there'd be a lot less threads on this board.
