Hello, a beautiful, bright day after yesterday's downpours, I have bedding on the line.
I asked OH to alter the clocks and he forgot so I was a bit Co fused when I realised that my normal waking time if 4.30 had turned into 3.30. I tend to struggle a but with the change of time, I usually wake around the same time but in the first weeks I'm really tired in the evening - and I dislike the dark evenings.
It is cold here, despite the sunshine and I may have to put the heating oN before I freeze.
I have this humungous piece of pork to cook later, we'll have that with roast potatoes, lots of veg, gravy and apple sauce - the apples were from a friend's garden and the pork was yellow stickered so doing my bit for thrift, perhaps that will offset the need for heat.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday, I should be sweeping up leaves but it is meant to be sunny for a couple of days so am k waving it.
Tomorrow I'm going back to the dentist. These e new crowns look nice but it is uncomfortable when I use them for biting, which I tend to think is the main point of teeth. AND it has cost me thousands so I should like them to be right.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
AOD
I am shocked at the price of the crowns but remembering what I paid years ago I should not be. Hope you can get them so they are more comfortable.
After some of having the family round yesterday and cooking a three course meal for four I don't feel like doing much today. Had bananas and coffee for a late breakfast and just about to make an omelette and then dig something out of the freezer for tonight.
I have a box of wonky veg to use up so the swede will make mash, the carrots and onions a soup or stew and the cabbage will be sauteed with apple and onion. I want to free up some freezer space so will dig out a few things to defrost and cook over the next few days. Think there may be lamb chops and also sausages in there. Have ordered a grocery delivery for Thursday evening with meat offers that can be frozen and also used over next week, milk, eggs, fruit and veg. To get the total right for delivery I ordered lots of bleach etc as there was an offer on and it will get used.

Afternoon all. A lovely day here and I have two loads of washing out. A simple pleasure. DH and I went over to Imperial Park this morning ad he bought some storage boxes with his 15per cent off for becoming a member. We also went to M&s and bought soup, a cheese boule and some pate for lunch as a little treat. Simple pleasures again. I think after the year we have had it is important to savour them.
Gers glad Mum and visitor liked the cream treats. Hi JackieO you are a role model for us frugallers. We love soup for lunch too.
Well hugs and spoons all tound and thinking of the poorlies today.

OL where have you been? I have missed you. I hope you and your family are ok x.
Can't help you on contact with DUMPLING sorry. All I know are the brief updates she has put on here. It's worrying and I hope we hear something again soon x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
AOD - crowns take about two weeks to settle in, that said I wouldn't leave the dentist the other day until he had 'shaved' the new crown down more than he wanted to. I hope you can get yours right.
It's been quiet here. I wanted to not take painkillers today though that didn't last too long. The pain is worse in the mornings so I had hoped it would wear off. :rotfl: Now I'm doped up!
I've got to break some news to DM tomorrow about her apartment. It's been on the cards since May, however Tuesday is crunch day. The new neighbours found dry rot in their place so it may have spread to DM's place. The inspection will mean disruption with laminate taken up etc. DM is a real worrier and, if I'd told her earlier she would have got herself wound up. She probably will on Monday but at least it's close to the inspection. My fingers are crossed that all is clear here but one never knows. It's taken me ages to get the contractor to agree to lift and re-lay the laminate and fit in with my time constraints. It was only when I told him about my surgery that he made efforts to move! There will be tension tomorrow.
Tonight it's SCD results show, can't resist it. Good to see you OL, hope all is well with you.0
