Join us this December as Ruby the Reindeer takes flight to sprinkle some festive cheer across the country.

Each day, solve the word and picture clues to work out where she is, and you could win a festive sweet & savoury hamper bursting with treats from our friends at Divine chocolate & Higgidy!

From the 1st to 24th December, open each day’s door or follow us on social media to solve the clues to where Ruby the Reindeer is.

Solve the clue, making a note of the first letter of your answer.

By Christmas Eve, you’ll have 24 letters in total. Rearrange those letters into the six-word title of a festive song. Once you’ve worked out the song, csend us your answer.

Answer for today - Northumberland

In this northernmost COUNTY of England, you can see Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle, and plenty of untouched, picturesque coastline. The area where Haggerston Castle once stood is now home to a Haven holiday park where some of our families get the chance to relax and have fun, and enjoy the beautiful walkways and peaceful lakes.

This RIVER in North Yorkshire is one of two you might see on a trip to York – the other being the Foss. Some of the families we help get to enjoy a boat ride along here, spending quality time together as they take in views of the city and its beautiful surrounds.

This RIVER flows through the centre of London, and if you’re on a boat or crossing a bridge here today, you’ll see lots of runners dressed as Father Christmas! Thank you to everyone raising money for our charity as part of the Santa In The City event.

This type of BUILDING is where scientists use telescopes to watch the planets, moons, stars… and perhaps the odd flying reindeer! Today Ruby is at the Royal one in Greenwich, London, to see where some of our families come to stand astride the world-famous ‘meridian line’.

This CITY is the biggest in Scotland, so it’s not surprising that the majority of Scottish families we help live here. The great thing is that there is so much to do on their doorstep – be it visiting the Science Centre, a day out at a museum, taking a bus tour, or hopping on a boat for a trip along the Clyde.
