Do TIF rank among the cheapest on comparison websites?

They have different brand names, some of which may be as cheap as any policies underwritten by other companies.

Remember that established brand names (such as Tesco) may sell insurance polices backed by different under-writers at different times.

I would go to more expensive ones like Hiscox, but not keen on paying £300 for an annual policy with no medical issues

  • It seems to me that travel insurance is one of the most important insurance that should be present in your life, especially if you plan to engage in any kind of sport. Since if something happens to you away from home, it will be difficult to get instantly oriented, financially. Also, it seems to me that to spare money for insurance is not better to be prepared for everything in advance than to be taken by surprise
  • HI All
Looking for a travel insurance guidance please,
I was wondering if you do need to declare taking statin as a health condition,
This is not a serious health issue, purely precautionary,
How do insurance companies look at this?
And if for example you go and buy a policy without declaring it, and you happen to make a claim which is health unrelated, would you be covered? Such as cancellation, loss of baggage, etc.
Not trying to dodge anything here but my point is if you know you are covered, why do you need to go and declare this and that and make insurance companies richer by paying over the top.

    - You need to answer any questions asked truthfully. Presumably you are taking statins for a reason such as high chloresterol. Or the question may be whether you are currently taking medication. In which case statins would surely qualify.

    - Insurance companies can only refuse to make a payout because incorrect information was provided if it is relevent to the claim.

I dont believe trivial health issues make any difference to travel insurance.
